In the majority of celebrations and rituals in India, people serve Papadum. Our papadums are high in quality and made carefully in Madras, now known as Chennai and the surrounding areas. There are many places where people make papadums, from North to South and East to West. It is selectively made in the dry and warm regions. When cooked, Papadums expand and are long-lasting to keep stored. It mainly depends on the weather and the mature ingredients we use. The best temperature for producing Papadums is in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and the Chennai surrounding area, previously called Madras. Chennai area in India are specialists in making plain Papadum for the UK. Sultan Papadum is made by hand using only the natural and finest ingredients. The papadum dough is made with lentils, rice flour, salt, and vegetable oil.
